To connect your LG Soundbar to your TV, you have various options. You can set up your connection using.
Let’s take a look at each option specifically.
You can connect your TV to LG Soundbar if the TV has ARC (Audio Return Channel) compatibility.
The HDMI ARC allows your TV to send digital audio data via the HDMI cable to the Soundbar.
To connect the two devices, You will need to locate the HDMI ARC port on the TV and the HDMI Out port on the soundbar as well.
You will need to connect both devices to the power source first. They each need to be powered independently.
Once, that is done, you simply connect one end of the HDMI cable to the TV port and the other end to the soundbar.
Now set the TV audio output through the HDMI ARC or SIMPLEX. The soundbar will also need to be set to the HDMI ARC mode.
Select the power button and press the F key. After that wait until the HDMI ARC LED indicators to light up indicating that you’ve connected the soundbar to the TV via HDMI.
This option is one of the best ways to connect your LG soundbar to the TV. This is because it has the capacity to carry HD sound formats like Dolby TrueHD and Atmos.
To make the connection, you will simply need to pair the white connector to the white output socket and the red connector to the red socket. Do this to both the TV and the soundbar.
Connecting a soundbar to a TV with an optical cable is one of the top options if your device doesn’t support HDMI.
The optical cable can give you good audio signal amplification with fewer losses. The digital optical cable can accommodate up to 5.1 audio channel formats.
This option is also available for those who have extra ports. They can help you connect your soundbar to your TV.
Aux cable gives a good audio signal but it doesn’t have extra features like Dolby HDR Surround effects on your LG soundbar:
A headphone jack is able to make this connection but it should be your last option if the above options don’t work or aren’t available to you.
Some TVs and LG soundbars can accommodate the connection through this setup. However, you won’t be capable of adjusting sound effects, and the quality may vary differently.
The best way of connecting your LG soundbar to the TV is through an HDMI ARC. It is a high definition that can carry audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and TrueHD.
This allows for seamless audio transmission and quality. The next best option is a Bluetooth connection. If you have a modern home theater system, the wireless connection can also work well and it’s easy to configure.
Without any cable connections involve, you can do the connections via wireless/Bluetooth. Disclaimer: This connection is only possible with televisions and soundbars with the latest wireless technology.
This option won’t be possible if all or either of the devices is not Bluetooth compatible.
